«Por la palabra se conoce la dirección del espíritu»: Gamaliel Churata y la vanguardia en Chirapu (1928)

La participación, activa o a través de menciones, de Gamaliel Churata durante la revista arequipeña de vanguardia Chirapu (1928) marca una pauta de defensa del arte nuevo mediante argumentos pero también creación poética. En este artículo presentaremos las tesis que esgrime para la validación del fenómeno como un momento necesario, para luego poder comprender la propuesta vanguardista en sus poemas «Epopeya del qe buelbe» y «poemas del coyto». Expondremos una lectura integral de estos textos desde las innovaciones formales que ofrece el vanguardismo del Titikaka y desde la formulación ideológica que implica el ahayu-watan.
