The commercial war unleashed between the US and China has a series of consequences that go beyond simple commercial transactions and can show several readings on the Asia-Pacific scenario. US foreign policy is moving around China. The United States is taking action regardless of the agreements of the WTO (World Trade Organization). The Trump administration tries to cover the sectoral trade deficits of its economy with tariff increases in those same items. This scenario generates alarm among investors and consumers and threatens global growth in the coming years.
