Lo natural y lo humano en la obra de Osamu Tezuka. La creación de territorios literarios alternativos a la naturaleza perdida

Main Article Content

Maria Antònia Martí Escayol
This article analyzes the concept of nature in the work of mangaka Osamu Tezuka (1928-1989), and particularly, the alternative landscapes constructed by plots, both in relation to the author’s contemporary reality as well as Japanese sci-fi literary and folk arts traditions. These landscapes serve the author as the lab for test different relationships between mankind and nature, and in so doing, to alternate moments of harmony, tension, and fracture. This analysis shows the author‘s complex and transcultural notion of nature, which results in texts of clear eco-pedagogical intent.
