Joyce, Rossetti, Dante. L'edició “prerafaelita” de la "Vida Nova" a la biblioteca i en l'imaginari de James Joyce

Gràcies a les reconstruccions de la biblioteca personal de Joyce (Ellmann, 1977; Power 2018), se sap que l'edició de la Vita Nuova adquirida per l'escriptor és una prestigiosa reimpressió (datada 1911) de la llisca de Dante, il·lustrada pels quadres de Dante Gabriel Rossetti, publicada per primera vegada a Itàlia el 1902 per Roux i Viarengo. Joyce va comprar la seva còpia a Trieste, de segona mà, en un període comprès entre 1912 i 1915. Aquesta contribució pretén explorar la influència de l'anomenada edició "prerafaelita" del lliç de Dante en l'imaginari Joyciano, a través d'una anàlisi de la complexa figura de Gerty, la Nausicaa que Bloom troba a la platja de Sandymount.
