Significance of the collective agreement in the chemical industry

This article discusses and assesses the general collective agreement from the trade union’s perspective. This is one of the most important agreements at State level in the field of enterprise bargaining. It shows the importance of powerful business and labour organizations negotiating good contracts and properly regulating working conditions in the interests of both employers and employees. This article reviews the content of the State contract and its necessary articulation within the company agreements. The article focuses on one of the most important point of the agreement, its salary structure, and stresses the importance of working time arrangements as a key piece of work organization.
