The transmedia narrative has been consolidated as an emerging discipline, with a growing number of publications, communications and doctoral theses on the subject, so in this paper we propose to collect and evaluate the current state of the research applying a descriptive bibliometric analysis on articles published to date in the main journals in the field of communication in Spain. After a conceptual delimitation, we will deal with identifying dimensions, such as chronological development, authorship or the center of ascription, and methodological issues, such as the objects of study analyzed, the study techniques used and the bibliographical reference, in order to consolidate the advances registered in this field and serve as a point of support for future research. The results show a progressive increase in the scientific production, in which the case studies are applyed on products generated in the conventional media, with very atomizez bibliographical references and authorship.
