Nicolás del Real
A positive monument. It is not dedicated to the victims or the heroes.
It is the commemoration of a specific moment / action, which brings together everything else.
The 20hrs applause is the instance in which the citizens are grateful and encourage themselves
• 20:00 will be the central element in the significance of the monument. From its temporal or geo-metric conception, the idea is to commemorate this citizen act
• What is noticeable and evident today may not be so much in 20 years
On the other hand, the exacerbated conceptual abstraction can lead us to the loss of legibility of the monument, a fundamental feature of it (the commemoration must be understood).
The goal is to ensure that the monument can evoke, not only a chronological moment, but a human moment.
