The Jordi Maseras Bover collection brings together the bodies of work of different photojournalists who worked for a magazine specialising in water sports, Yate & Motonáutica (Yachting and Power Boating). His dedication
to collecting graphic material over a period of approximately twelve years resulted in a source of information of great historic and cultural value within a specific time frame. This paper details the restoration process of the collection, carried out in 2018 and 2019 during a period of practical training at the Museu Marítim of Barcelona and at the Escola Superior de Conservació i Restauració de Béns Culturals de Catalunya (ESCRBCC), focusing on the study and disinfecting process of a total of 4,000 colour and black and white photographs based on two work methodologies.
