In the last ten years, Catalonia has lost almost all of its satirical publications and its role as the avant-garde in the industry of graphic and written humor. However, it has kept its leadership in the field of humor in the Spanish market due to the increase of comics and showmen in the broadcasting industry and theater. The changes in rashion and taste on the part or the audience have coincided with the circulation or humor on the Web and the mobile phone. The tradition or Catalan humor represented by the great classics or the journalistic cutture or the 19th and 20th centuries is in danger or extinction. A critical but non-exhaustive assessment: or the publications and radio and television spaces ot the 21st century indicates that, with regard to making people laugh, there is an increasing lack or seriousness and more bad humor.
