La traducció automàtica a l’hospital: perspectives del personal sanitari sobre l’ús, l’adequació i les polítiques

Aquest estudi enquesta l’ús de la traducció automàtica (TA) i de la intel·ligència artificial generativa (GenAI) per part del personal sanitari en un hospital, i n’examina els usos, els factors d’adopció, el grau de satisfacció, les condicions tècniques i la necessitat percebuda de polítiques i formació. Els resultats mostren que les eines de TA i de GenAI s’utilitzen principalment en l’atenció rutinària, però es consideren inadequades per a interaccions complexes, en un context de manca de polítiques institucionals.

Susana Valdez, Leiden University Centre for Linguistics

Susana Valdez is an Assistant Professor of Translation Studies at Leiden University (Netherlands) and a visiting fellow at the University of Warwick (United Kingdom).

Following her PhD in medical translation aimed at experts, her research has centred on how health information is accessed, read, and understood in healthcare contexts, with or without translation technologies. She is currently leading a research project on reader reception of translated health information, particularly examining the impact of MT on the reading process, funded by the Dutch national research council (NWO).
