The colonial rent in Cuba

This paper is focused on the systematization of the benefits that Spain used to obtain from Cuba during the two last decades of the colony, systematizes the ways for the appropiation and transference of resources into the metropolis. It also points out the intensification of that detraction during the 90’s and suggests reflecting again on the dependence conditions of the Island and the, not only political but also economial links, which subordinate the Island to the colonial power.
