The San Carlos Royal Academy of Fine Arts of México found some difficulties for the painting teaching since it was established. These obstacles came from the San Fernando Royal Academy of Fine Arts conception about the overseas academy, as a secondary institution that must depend of San Fernando and even as a political mistake. The teachers of San Carlos were elected and sent by the Academy of Madrid, and generally carne from Spain, and despite their enthusiasm, found a lot of administrative, economical and political difficulties.
