La Recerca sobre normativa: proposta general

This article presents a proposal of what a general research project on Catalan prescriptive
grammar ought to be. Such research ought to be framed within the epistemological, academic
and professional areas of applied linguistics. Taking ad hoc concepts of prescriptive grammar and
prescriptive grammar research as a base, this study recommends more effective guidelines regarding
the purpose, objectives, theoretical framework, methodologies and agents of this
research field.
