Desarrollos sostenibles

The premises of the articles The cultural origins of unsustainability and Economics and crematistics are built upon in this article, which analyses the ethical dimension of sustainability and highlights the need for a radical change of paradigm with respect to the values and practices that are characteristic of current development models. The authors consider the nature of modern ethics to be abstract and objectified and thus highlight the need for a relational ethics that considers the different aspects of reality in the light of their interdependance, dynamism, uncertainty and profound mutual beloging. A set of concepts are then developed which, according to the authors, should govern the changes in the current development model and redirect it towards the different sustainable developments (in the plural) according to the social, cultural and environmental contexts.
