The view of possible risks that technology represents is addressed by Louis Lemkow, Professor of Sociology of the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB) and a specialist in environmental Sociology. In what was originally a section of his recent disertation, he analizes some of the risks implied by the various applications of biotechnology (obtainment of hormones for genetic engineering, transgenic organisms, bioplguicides, etc.).
