Complejidad restringida, complejidad general

Main Article Content

Edgar Morin
This article begins by tracking the appearance of complexity in scientific discourse, from its invisibility in classical science to its belated introduction in various disciplines.
The author then analyses the differences between the two fundamental ways of
understanding the concept: restricted complexity and generalised complexity. He
reviews the various notions included in complexity, such as system, emergence, chaos
and self-eco-organisation, as well as the hologrammatic and dialogical principles. Finally, he proposes ways of incorporating complexity in the education system.
