In this article the author describes two new species of Carabidae Harpalini belonging to genus Polpochila Solier, 1849, neotropical genus expanded in America from United States untill Argentina and Chili. The first species, from Paraguay, Polpochila aguilari n. sp. differ among the other known, by it reddish-orange colour largely extended on the elytral surface; besides, darksome along of the elytral suture. Aedeagus short and thick,
very little sclerotized; internal sac with a piece shape in U, sinuated, slender, composed by several narrower microtrichias. The second species, from Argentina Polpochila willineri n. sp. is rather large, completely black shining, except the legs, antennomeres 1-3 and palpi yellows. It is very similar to Polpochila pueli Nègre, 1963, from Argentina, Uruguay,
Bolivia, Brasil, Paraguay and Chili, but differ of this by it black head (or brown) without red spots, while P. pueli are always two !arge red spots on the front. Yet, P. Willineri is different specially by aedeagus, whose internal sac is provided for two plates of very sclerotized scales, whilst P. Pueli are three plates of this one: two lateral rather small and other one median and notably more large. The lateral plates of P. Willineri are asymetric,
while those of P. Pueli are almost symmetric. These new species present a similiar head in both sexes.
