Recent incidence of the foreign inmigration in the births number in the region of Murcia

The aim of this paper is to analize the development of the birth rate of the foreign inmigrants que live in the Region of Murcia, and the impact that this evolution has in the growth of the birth rate produced in the whole Region. Beside these aims it is achieved an aproximation to the composition of the inmigrants the have children in the territory depending on their geographical origins and their sexes. The period studied begins in 1996 and lasts until 1999, it coincides with a moment of intensification in the inmigration with a period in which the natural growth in the population of Murcia is very weakened.
