From the social effect of migrations to the city of Havana, we can say, without any doubt, that the Cuban capital is becoming an immigrant center, if in 1977, 40,0 % of the population growth was due to the domestic migration, in 1989-93 it was 74,0 %, together to the fact that in 1995, 53,6 % of the city houses had at least one immigrant.

The analysis of the results of the 1995 national inquest of internal migrations results show us the incidence of the migrants structure of sex, age, race and labors in the Havana social environment, based in the introduction of different and foreign habits, behavior forms and housing characteristics. Those elements in the current situation of Cuban economic crisis contributed to the spatial differentiation of the Havana social environment and to increase the social, employee, housing and sanitation problems in the city.
