The right to the city, between the rural and the urban

The emergence and nature of contemporary urban and rural are discussed here, as well as their relations with the city and the countryside, in order to look at the city as a non- exclusive place of the urban and the countryside as a non-exclusive rural location. Our motivation has its roots in the discussable contemporary dilution of the urban-rural contradiction, which on one-hand some authors stand for the urbanization of society and on the other-hand other ones defend the emergence of a new rurality. The relevance of this discussion lies on the need to highlight that the right to the city surpasses the city itself.
