Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate free access to its contents under the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

This is an open access journal which means that all content is freely available without charge to the user or his/her institution. Users are allowed to read, download, distribute, print, reproduce parts, search or make a link to the full texts of the articles in this journal without asking prior permission from the editor or the author. It's licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 Unported License.

Journal History

RUTA journal (Revista Universitària de Treballs Acadèmics) is born on 2008 as an enterprise of UAB's Departament de Periodisme i Ciències de la Comunicació. Since the first number, until the 6th it was published with ISSN 2013-0740.
On 2016 it starts a second period. His name is changed by the present RUTA Comunicación and starts to being published by Open Journal Systems (OJS) and the assistance of the UAB's Servei de Revistes Digitals (ReDi, http://revistes.uab.cat/web). The edition responsability relies on Laboratori de Periodisme i Comunicació per a la Ciutadania Plural belonging to Departament de Periodisme i Ciències de la Comunicació de la Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (http://labcompublica.com).
RUTA Comunicación's objective is contribute to the development of communication research, helping young researchers and future doctorates to introduce themself in the professional world and spreading their contributions to the scientific knowledge. 

Ruta Comunicació publishes its last issue in 2018.
