One of the main problems arising from the current economic and political modes of social relations has been the increase in inequality, individualism, competition and consumerism guided by multiple and complex contradictions. This paper seeks to better understand this scenario and propose solutions in order to minimize its effects. To do so, the work draws on ecological economics (Georgescu-Roegen et al. 1975), alternative development (Friedmann et al. 1992) and degrowth (Latouche et al. 2007). The objective is to propose a matrix composed of dimensions and variables based on theoretical
convergences that guide the three approaches. Methodologically, the work is based on a survey of relevant scientific journals and nationally and internationally published texts that are available through Scielo, the CAPES platform, and Google Scholar. The result was the structure of the matrix through the convergence of the three theories. The matrix was composed of 65 variables, distributed in 03 dimensions and 03 principles. Then it isexpected to share research that have adopted this matrix and show successful experiences of groups of workers strengthened in their values and ideals.
