Modelagem econômico-ecológica como apoio para a avaliação dos serviços ecossistêmicos em bacias hidrográficas

The availability of water has become a subject frequent in political agenda in the world. Still,the Brazilian Water  Resources  Policy  established  water  as  a  public  good,  limited,  and  with  economic  value.  So,  the purpose of this work is to assess of water yield in Alto Iguaçu and the Alto Ribeira Tributaries Watersheds with the InVEST’s Water Yield Model. The results showed that 240,000 hectares have been overexploited, and the change of land use for the "sustainable scale” could increase the water yield in more than 878 million/m³/year in watersheds.
