Agricultural intensification and production of commodities in Uruguay generates deep regional transformations as well as conflicts in the use of resources. Cattle producers at Esteros de Farrapos are facing a synergistic threat due to a process of agricultural intensification (IA) and a larger flooding severity. These threats impede alternate between the grazing of animals estero and high lands. Based on a synthesis of several works, we analyze the spatial transformation in the 1998- 2011 period. The results demonstrate the homogenization, compaction e intensification of land use and grassland fragmentation and dispersion of the fragments. Intensification of the dynamics of a deepening: Agricultural intensification - the dominant ecosystem of loss - loss of livestock de campo natural - avance de la livestock on fragile areas and / or disappearance of the producer - the increase of the intensification. This situation unheard puede pasar, hidden after the profitability of "apparent" de la soy (Costs social and environmental). Of the difficulty of access to grazing lands of which constitutes a factor, in the form of the "Chronicle", and shifted to exclude these producers, as expresándose conflict "invisible" dynamics of the agro Uruguayan modernized. Since the shape of agroecology is discussed in this review process.
