We studied a set of plates and funerary tombstones of tiles made in the Valencian factories during the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries. They are located in cemeteries and churches of various populations or preserved in museums. Same of the most outstanding artists of the moment –Joan Bru, Josep Sanchis, Joan Ortiz, Miquel Mollà or Francesc Dasí– painted excellent funerary compositions that are still preserved.
