El Paleolítico medio en el litoral de la sierra de Santa Pola (El Baix Vinalopó, Alicante)

In this research we analyse the open-air lithic industry collected in the Santa Pola mountain range and coastline (City of Santa Pola, Alicante). The set which stands out most notably is the one we found in the coastline escarpment next to the hermitage of Nuestra Señora del Rosario which features the use of different knaping systems. The industry is contained in a coast glacis which covers the Eemiense marine terrace (128-116 ka) and presents different typological categories such as ‘raederas’, flakes with a retouch, notches and denticulations.
