In this paper we present the preliminary findings of an extensive survey conducted in the western portion of the La Costera region of Valencia, Spain. This project explores patterns of prehistoric settlement and land use through time with an emphasis on the first farming populations and subsequent cultural developments until the Bronze Age. We discuss the results of this research within a broader regional context.
