The sale of the Dama de Elche: dismantling some justifications.

In this paper, the managing of the supposed non-payment of the Aureliano Ibarra y Manzoni’s antiquities collection, is questioned as justification in the sale of the Dama de Elche to France. A critical review of the “ traditional version “ is done and documents that demonstrate that this theory cannot continue being kept, are presented.
