Archaeological interventions of Arquealia in the sector La Vila (the Village) of the Alcoy historical city centre

Hereby you will find a summary of six archaeological interventions effected at the sector of La Vila (the Village) in Alcoy. Reference is made to the special features of the archaeological excavations in a historical city centre where the modern city has altered the levels which contained information of previous epochs. The interpretation of the most important findings poses some new questions about the urban development of La Vila (the Village) in the Medieval and Modern age.
