Movimientos sociales y medios de comunicación: el cambio en el tratamiento de la violencia contra las mujeres

The changes achieved during the last decade in Spain as regards the social consideration of violence against women cannot be understood without considering the attention it has received from the feminist movement and the media. This article examines the role that both play in the process of constructing violence against women as a social problem. Finally, it attempts to draw the lines of confluence between feminist movements and the media when dealing with the issue.
