The verbocentrism that has been attributed to legal documents is being called into question in an incipient turn towards the visual. Even legal judgements, commonly described as an anachronistic genre, are experiencing this change. The object of this article is to report on this innovation, which, influenced by European Union judgements, has emerged in Spain in mercantile law judgements, and has begun to expand. In this sense, this paper hopes to offer a starting point for the diachronic analysis of the genre of legal judgements.
