The aim of this study was to assess whether the satisfaction with life functions as a mediating variable in the relationship between workaholism and psychological well-being within a sample of 310 managers Dutch Work Addiction Scale (DUWAS), the satisfaction with life scale, general health questionnaire (GHQ-12) were used as research tools. The results, which were obtained through the hierarchical linear regression analysis, confirmed the hypothesis that life satisfaction acts as a mediator variable between the dimensions of workaholism and psychological well-being. The result shows the importance of interventions that comprise the balance between labor and extra-labor activities for managers as a measure of psychological health prevention and rehabilitation.
