Main Article Content
The Italian-Spanish volume of Lucio Ambruzzi’s bilingual dictionary includes, somehow in between dialect and Italian standard, a large number of terms related to the Piedmontese dialect and culture. The presence of such lexicon (dialectal, enogastronomic, geographical, biographical and cultural terms) turns out to be a peculiar characteristic in an Italo-Spanish lexicographical work. The present article aims at analysing and classifying the approximately 100 headwords and their translations, which can be found in the seventh and last edition, comparing them with other bilingual and monolingual dictionaries. Moreover, we will evaluate whether such lemmas belong to the standard Italian or not, and whether they are dialectal words or adaptations.
