The archaeological travels in the East Mediterranean of Sadurní Ximénez and Francesc Cambó

Main Article Content
Francesc Cambó sailed the Mediterranean Sea with his yacht Catalonia many times. In 1923, through Anatolia and Greece, and in 1925, through Egypt and the Levant, he was accompanied by Sadurní Ximénez, Minorcan adventurer and amateur Hellenist. The works that the latter published afterwards provide a new perspective about the nature of these travels and take us closer to his obscure historical and archaeological research. Furthermore, these travels possibly sowed the seeds of the projects thatboth Cambó and Ximénez were engaged in immediately afterwards.
