In the last years, there has been increasing interest in the conventus iuridici of Roman Spain as a novel provincial division. The present paper attempts to widen the discussion about the shape of the conventus and the governor’s judicial tour and his assistants (iuridici), focusing on the particular demography and transport accessibility of the province of Hispania Citerior. It is believed that both elements shed some light on the form and function of this administrative institution.
