Del documento arqueológico al proceso histórico las aportaciones de Vilches IV (Hellín, Albacete) al análisis de los cambios sociales en la Submeseta sur durante el III milenio cal. BC

The results of excavations carried out at the archaeological site of Vilches IV (Hellín, Albacete) allow a first assessment of the Chalcolithic farmer communities developed throughout the central centuries of the III millennium BC in the south-eastern sector of the southern Meseta. This paper addresses the subject based on the concatenation of different types of evidence —artefacts, areas of activity, domestic units, settlement— to deepen our knowledge of these social formations, placed halfway between the Neolithic communities and Bronze Age societies.
