The aim of this study is to analyze the variables that have effect on the stable peace agreements during the Peloponnesian War. We focus on two episodes: the hostilities in southern Epirus and the revolt of Mytilene in the Aegean. Despite the chronological proximity and the presence of Athens in both events, the solutions reached acquired a completely different look.
