The application of Global Positioning Systems (GPS) and Geographical Information Systems (GIS) in the project “Valencian Community Rock Art Sites Update Catalog” have led to establish the exact location of these sites and propose different levels of protection in a uniform manner. Furthermore, the use of these tools makes possible to limit the potential risks that could affect these art forms, declared World Heritage in 1998.
