The objective of this research is, through an ethnographic study, to capture the vision of the body as an object in the surgical block. This concept has been forged throughout history under the influence of sociotechnical and sociocultural factors. This has led to a desubjectivation of the patient's agency reduced to a biochemical agency. For the research I have used participant observation and interviews. With all this, it has been possible to analyze the factors related to the current vision of the body in medicine and the relevance of this knowledge, especially for health professionals.
