Comments and details previous to the Checklist of the flora of Catalonia (northeastern Iberian Peninsula)

Within the context of an update of the floristic knowledge concerning the vascular plants of Catalonia, this paper provides corological, taxonomic and nomenclatural data for various taxa. Datura wrightii Regel, Euphorbia davidii Subils, Hedera maroccana McAll., Nemophila menziesii Hook. & Arn. and Sedum palmeri S. Watson are novelties for the Catalan flora. On the other hand, the following taxa are removed from the flora of Catalonia: Arabis collina Ten., Drosera intermedia Hayne, Erodium acaule (L.) Bech. & Thell., Euphorbia dentata Michaux, Physalis philadelphica Lam. and Tulipa sylvestris L. subsp. sylvestris. New combinations are proposed for Allosurus × kochianus (Rasbach, Reichst. & Schneller), L. Sáez & Aymerich, Gymnadenia austriaca subsp. iberica (Teppner & E. Klein) L. Sáez & Aymerich, Lysimachia talaverae L. Sáez & Aymerich, nom. nov., Micranthes stellaris subsp. robusta (Engl.) L. Sáez & Aymerich and Pedicularis praetermissa (I. Soriano, M. Bernal & Sánchez Cuxart) Aymerich & L. Sáez.
