The Camp d’Aprenentatge de la Noguera is an Educational Service of the Department of Education of the Generalitat de Catalunya, which has been carrying out educational activities around the Neanderthal archaeological site of La Roca dels Bous for the past fifteen years.

The inclusion of Prehistory in Early Childhood, Primary and Secondary Education curricula links the distant past of human beings with relevant social issues in our world today, such as what defines us as human beings. It was also in prehistory that important processes developed to understand how society works today, both in terms of social relations and in terms of the economy or political organization.

The visit to the Roca dels Bous promotes an approach to Paleolithic societies in an experiential way and, therefore, more significant and enhancing of historical empathy and, consequently, of empathy towards otherness.
