Através de um breve exame sobre o tratado anônimo medieval de música La Doctrina de Compondre Dictatzessa pesquisa pretende expor alguns aspectos do cancioneiro medieval, confrontando seus gêneros principais e fazendo algumas considerações sobre a beleza e a feiura nas canções dos trovadores.
