After the morish expulsion, the economical situation of some Valencian seigniories was hardly affected, because of the lost of people and the drastic reduction of monetary perceptions. This was the case of the village of Borriol that, since 1609, started an internal process of confrontation between their neighbours, in a fight for goods left by the new christians. In this context, began to consolidate some of the local family powers, that developed an important action in the corporation and in the municipal.
