The following analyses the arquitectural and decorative elements of Barcelona’s Museum of History (1891-1893), that are based on different historical styles. The creator, architect Lluís Domènech i Montaner, used elements from Islamic, Gothic, Almohade, Byzantine and German architecture, making a new interpretation (as in his subsequent work) with which he formed his own style.
