This article discusses the shape and performance of Molines, as minister of Philip V in Rome during the War of Succession. After saying a few words about his ecclesiastical career and collaboration with ambassador Uceda, three points of his performance are discussed: the difficulties encountered in their mission by the Pope; defend the palace and embassy district, and their separation from the ministry and sad end.
