Baroque historiography, which is usually subjected to the political opinions of institutions, presents itself as an ideal space for examining levels of censorship and self-censorship in the period’s works. In this context, Jeroni Pujades’ work stands out, as he sought institutional support for his historiographical dissertations and wrote a chronicle of the Principality of Catalonia in Catalan (Calamicleon/Corònica) and another one in Spanish (Corónica). In an attempt to highlight some self-censorship processes in the 17th century, this article analyzes the Catalan chronicle and its versions, which were deeply revised by the author.
