A comparison of 15th to 17th-century Catalan texts on agriculture provides evidence for the existence of a unique composition on horticulture whose title may be reconstructed as Memòria de les maneres de les laurons que hom deu fer a tota ortalissa. The identification of this anonymous work expands the corpus of known texts written in Catalan on the subject and reinforces the notion of a class of literate pagesos, or farmers, active in this period.
