The building that serves as the current town hall of Palma de Mallorca is the result of a reform carried out in the second half of the 17th century to restructure what was then known as the University House in order to lend it the representational character it required. This investigation is based on documentary research to provide new information on the process to construct the new façade and reconstruct the interior of the building, as well as evidence about the resources that were used to provide citizens a renewed image of this municipal institution.
