Los Falcó, una familia de pintores en la Valencia del siglo XVI

Through an analysis of documentary evidence, we study the Falcó family of 16thcentury painters from Valencia. We show that only three painters existed, examine their chronology, and analyse some of their main paintings and works. We focus on the masters Nicolás Falcó (active between 1493 and 1530) and his son Onofre Falcó (active between 1536 and 1560), particularly the personality of this last painter which has been portrayed in a confusing manner in the historiography.
