The article sums up some of the most noteworthy aspects of the analysis of the results of the Survey on Language Use of the Public at Large, 2013 from an applied perspective in order to answer the questions that are the main objective of the language policy: What is the adult population’s knowledge of Catalan? Why has knowledge of Catalan barely grown? Why is Catalan used more in certain spheres than in others? Is this determined by knowledge or by attitudes? How many people have learnt to speak Catalan? What are the profiles of these learners and how many of them are there? Who is interested in learning Catalan among the adult population? What are the main reasons for learning Catalan according to the learner? An extended version of this information can be found in the Analysis of the Survey on Language Use of the Public at Large, 2013. Summary of key factors of the Technical Library of Language Policy.
